Suggest Remedies For Tightness In Hamstrings And Knees Post A Major Injury
Over five years ago I experienced a crush injury to my entire right side of my body which resulted in several fractures in my leg, severe bone bruising, back and abdominal injuries and also crushed my arm resulting in a 8 - 10 inch laceration. Needless to say my recovery has been long. I have gone to physical therapy for about 5 years. My physical therapist seems be the only one who understands that I am still experiencing pain and problems with functionality. Other providers just basically say it is what it is. I am still having a lot of problems with tight hamstrings and unable to bend my knee when standing. Any suggestions?
This is very common to me have muscle tightness after injury. Physiotherapy is the only option. So continue with physiotherapy.
Also, do Yoga and Pranayam. Both of them have excellent results in muscle tightness. Also, apply ice packs and warm water pad alternative on affected areas. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
