Suggest Remedies For Tightness In The Back Of Foot And Sore Heel
I have tightness in the back of my left foot and sore to the touch above the heal. When I walk a little it seems to go away, but when I sit a while and get up to walk it is sore and stiff. I play golf and like to walk but afterwards it can be sore after I stop walking and sit awhile. doesn t hurt while playing or walking. What should I do to help the soreness and stop the pain?
Noted your history about soreness above left heel, playing golf and so on. This looks to be a case of tenosynovitis or may be calcaneal spur causing inflammation and so on. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Put the affected foot in warm hypertonic saline solution. Take anti-inflammatory medication like Ibuprofen or so. Take rest. Apply supportive spints. Needs X-ray to see for spur. An opinion of an Orthopedic Surgeon to have proper diagnosis and have proper management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
