Suggest Remedies For Vaginal Itch And Anal Fissures

I am a 44 year old peri-menopausal female. I have had a vaginal itch and irritation for about a week, with redness and a brownish, clumpy and stringy discharge, and noticed two fissures, one at the hairline where the outerlabia meet above the clitoral region and one in the tissue between the inner and outer labia. I am also diabetic. There is no odor. I have been using a vaginal moisturizer for dryness but this feels more like a yeast or bacterial infection. Suggestions please? I m miserable!

Hi,

Avoid scented pads or toilet paper, creams, bubble bath, feminine sprays, and douches.

Use water and plain, unscented soap to regularly clean your external genital area. Always wipe from front to back after having a bowel movement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Monish De, Oncologist
