Suggest Remedies For Warm, Red, Itchy Lump Around The Area Of Mosquito Bites

Last evening while working in the yard, I got bitten by several mosquitoes. Today, the area is reddened, with a distinct lump around bite marks. It was extremely itchy at bedtime, so I took a Benadryl and used some anti-itch cream. It is warm to the touch, red and there is a definite wheal around the bite. I have taken Benadryl every 4 hours today, and now I have a cough (I also have a diagnosis of asthma). Should I see a physician tomorrow if symptoms are still present in the morning?

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query
I would suggest you to wait for 2 -3 days as it usually subsides on its own. you can continue to spread the anti- itch cream on the area involved and also maybe take any anti- histamines for your cough, if it was initiated due to the irritation of your throat following the insect bite.

I hope this helps.
thank you
