Suggest Remedies For Whitish Blisters On Tongue With Foggy Thoughts

i have had a sore throat and have some painful whiteish blisters or bumps on the very back of my tongue. The symptoms have persisted for almost 4 weeks. The illness began with a deep sore throat, upper respiratory inflammation, ear pain pressure without significant nasal componant, and a short duration low grade fever. Presently, only the tongue blisters and a general fogginess persist. Urgent care cultured for strep, kit indicated negative.

Hi,

I have gone through your query in detail and can understand your concerns. As per your complain the symptoms of sore throat with some painful whitish blisters or bumps on the very back of my tongue that persisted for almost 4 weeks which began with a deep sore throat, upper respiratory inflammation, ear pain pressure without significant nasal component, and a short duration low grade fever can be most probably due to a chronic viral infection.

As strep test is already negative, it further indicates virus. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a clinical examination and investigations like throat swab culture and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. For blisters on tongue if they are painful you can start gargling with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine and also suck ice pops.
