Suggest Remedy For HPT Being Positive Post Medical Abortion

I had a medical abortion 3 and a half weeks ago. I had unprotected sex the day after I expelled the baby and tissue. 2 pregnancy tests have come up positive. When should they start to come up negative and is there a heightened risk of problems if I get pregnant again so soon.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

The urine home pregnancy test should be done only 3 weeks after medical abortion. Because before 3 weeks, the pregnancy hormones are still in your body and the test might show a false positive result. Also there are very less chances of you getting pregnant by intercourse the next day.
You should also undergo an ultrasound to confirm possibility of any pregnancy contents left in uterus , as these may also continue producing HCG hormone, responsible for positive pregnancy test.
Kindly use contraception to prevent pregnancy in future
