Mild Facetal arthropathy is seen at this level. 2 diffuse posterior disc bulge at l4-l5 with right lateral protrusion compressing thecal sac, indenting existing nerve root and along with facetal arthropathy and ligmentum flavum hypertrophy result in narrowng canal neutralforman 3 diffuse posterior disc bulge at l5-S1 with posterocentral protrusion effacing epidural fat. Please suggest me what is best procedure for the same. Thanks, Ramautar Singh
Dear patient your mother is suffering from degenerative disc disease at multiple levels including l34 l45 and l5s1 levels. And considering her age most significant of 3 of this is l45 levels.at l45 disc level she has disc prolapse with nerve compression and facetal changes which requires treatment. Also what are her clinical symptoms. If she is having significant back pain and lower limb raficulopathy she may be given a trial of epidural kenocort injection which helps is decreasing inflammation pain. And if she is not benefitted by epidural injection surgery is the only option.
