Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I have read your question fully and understand your concerns.
I understand that your first is pregnant. During the first trimester (first 12 weeks of
pregnancy) the TSH should be less than 2.5. During the second and third trimesters, it should be less than 3. Your wife should be started on
Levothyroxine which is a thyroid hormone. As it is a prescription only medication she should see her doctor who can prescribe it for her. Levothyroxine is taken in the morning on an empty stomach. She can then get her TSH rechecked in 6 weeks and dose altered if needed. As long as TSH is under control, there is no problem to the baby or to the mother.
Susten 200 is a
progesterone tablet which helps in the sustaining the pregnancy. MCBM is a
multivitamin essential for baby’s nervous system and brain to grow. She can take both these tablets. Both of these tablets do not have Levothyroxine in them.
Can you kindly take your wife as soon as possible to her gynaecologist/
endocrinologist so that she can straight away start the Levothyroxine medication.
I hope this answer has helped you.
Thank you
Regards
