Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have recently been prescribed metformin. Have been told for years that I was a prediabetic. My toes feel funny. Not really numb but as tho they have a sock on when they don t. I also have a painful back situtation so am wondering if the strange feeling in my feet could be the back rather than the sugar.
Hi, Welcome to HEALTHCAREMAGIC,I gone through your query. It seems that you has neuritis, probably due to diabetes. However it can be due to your back condition (Lumbar spondylosis) leading to nerve compression. This can be ruled out by MRI lumbar spine. I think this will be some use to you.
