Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Bloating With Diarrhea And Blood In Stool

Hello Dr. Narasi. I have been back and forth to the restroom since 3 am. It is now 6 pm here. It has eased up at the moment but I was experiencing white clumps and blood in my stool. I have also felt bloated and very gassy all day. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These symptoms suggest some gut infection which is mostly viral. Take more fluids. However, if it persists for the next day, you may need to take drugs for amebiasis like Metronidazole as sometimes amebiasis is also present the same way. You may get your stool tested for it. Take more fluids to avoid dehydration.

Hope I have answered your question. I will be glad to answer any further question about this.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
