Hello,

You are experiencing menstrual like abdominal cramps post menopausal phase. You are also having changes in your bowel. Your symptoms can be indicative of stomach virus, food poisoning, constipation, acid reflux, gastritis, etc. Medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are endometriosis, fibroids, a cancerous tumor, and gastrointestinal problems.

You are suggested to avoid constipation, take fiber in your diet. Take adequate water and fluids for better bowel movement. If needed, you can take laxatives. Avoid taking spicy oily food, processed or packaged food. Take home made nutritious fresh food.

To get rid of acid reflux you can take PPIs. Do not skip meals. Take food in time. Get clinically examined by a Gynae to detect medical condition that may be causing you symptoms. You will be accordingly treated. You will have to get done imaging tests.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
