Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Pain After Eating Blueberries

I ate way too many blueberries on wednesday and ever since then my stomach has been nonstop hurting except when I do exercise. My stool has been dark blue, almost black and somewhat watery. Today was the first day my stool color was back to brown, but still a bit watery. What can I do to take the pain away?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, abdomen pain after consuming lot of blue berries indicate GI upset of intestine flora. Guidelines for better recovery:
- Consume more liquids in sessions including oral rehydration salt
- Anti-spasmodic medication such as Drotaverine or Dicyclomine with Mefenamic acid
- Prebiotics with lacto bacillus

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
