Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an upset stomach don t know the possible reasons and my stool passage was also very watery so I have taken topcef 200 once nd feeling better.. so I just wanted to know whether it s the correct medication nd possible reason for my stomach upset
Abdominal pain along with diarrhea could be because of multiple conditions like food poisoining, stomach flu, irritable bowel syndrome, amoebic dysentary, alcohol intolerance. It could be because of systemic diseases like diabetes, hypothroidism. Topcef tablet which you are taking is good for your present condition. Immodium A-D is an alternative drug which you can take.
Prevention is more important in this condition. Have atleast 8 glasses water per day. Have oral rehydration solution to cover electrolyte loss.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get well soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
