Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Pain With History Of Ulcer
My mother is suffering frm stomach pain. She is also an ulcer patient. she ate spicy and hot meal at last night. so after tht she had stomach pain. we gave her eno as her stomach was very tight. bt after tht she had motion.. so wht I do? may I give her flagyl 400 or cyclopam?

Since the patient has peptic ulcer (as mentioned in the query), she must be on some anti ulcer treatment. That is not mentioned. Eno is just an advertised product has absolutely no role in the treatment of peptic ulcer. It just CO2 releasing powder, produces belching. May neutralize acid marginally. Better not use in a patient with peptic ulcer. She should be on suitable diet which is less spicy, less of masala.
Plus food should be taken at specific times. She should avoid too much of tea, coffee too. For pain abdomen a drug like Cyclopam can be given. She should also be given drugs like either Ranitidine 150 mg twice a day before food or Tablet Rabeprazole before food. Flagyl is indicated totally in different conditions. Best is to consult your local physician.
