Hi My question is my right back shoulder it is not a pain but a acke i can not lift my arm stright over my head , I drive truck for a living and its getting harder to shift the transmisson it start about a month ago I have been taking aleve and its is not helping and i have been losing strangh in my arm
For your aching arm and shoulder I feel we need to find a proper diagnosis since it has already been a month. First of all, be careful about your posture while driving. Do not drive continuously for long. Take few minutes rest for 1-2 hours of driving. do some neck and shoulder muscle exercises. You can even take some painkillers.
Besides, I think you must go and get yourself investigated. Get complete blood count, sugar levels, and it d done. You must get X-ray of the shoulder also done and then have a consultation with an orthopedician and a neurologist. may be we need to further test like EMG/NCV (nerve and muscle studies) to reach a proper diagnosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Milinda Gupta, Internal Medicine Specialist
