Suggest Remedy For Achy Eye After Pupil Dilation For Test
I had a Neuro ophthalmologist appointment yesterday , where I had a retinal scan, field test, glaucoma pressure test and pupil dilation to assess for suspected papillodema in one eye. That eye is now very achey - both were tested and the other eye is fine, is this normal? Thank you.
Hi . Dilating drops too have side affects eye redness, allergic reactions, whitening of area around the eye , blurring of vision but all of them affect both the eyes of the patient and are self limiting. Pain in eye after dilatation sometimes occurs in cases of narrow angle glaucoma where the passage to filter the aqueous is very narrow and dilatation further reduces the angle of filteration channels thus leading to rise in intraocular pressure and pain in eye. you should consult an ophthalmologist as soon as possible to rule out narrow angle glaucoma in this eye.
