Suggest Remedy For Allergic Reaction In The Foot

I have a bite on my rh foot. I am allergic to Fire Ants etc, but this is not that. This happened on Wednesday, and I did not use my Epipen, but I have been taking Benadryl. I have little feeling in my legs, because of Guilliame Barre syndrome. I am starting to get tight in my chest, but that might be because od scoliosis.

Hello,

Regarding your foot bite, it might be due to any insect bite or any exposure to their body fluids. You can continue Benadryl. My recommendations are that you may not need Epipen unless there is respiratory involvement causing congestion in throat and difficulty in breathing. You can take tab. Cetirizine for 3 days. If the rash is burning, you can use calamine lotion.

It's better to use hydrocortisone cream or ointment on the rash. Avoid scratching of the area even if it itches. Cold compression may help. If you have symptoms like swelling of lips, throat and difficulty in breathing please do consult a physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
