Suggest Remedy For Allergy Caused By Antibiotics While Treating Chest Infection
My 18month old dauggter has been diagnosed with a chest infection and has been given oaracetomal and antibiotics. She has now had an allergic reaction to something and the hospital gave us piriton. Can she have all these medicines together? Many thanks
Prition contain active ingredient Chlorpheneramine that is an anti allergic and is given to subside the allergy symptoms.. But in case if the allergy agent is not withdrawan then the allergy symptoms may persist or keep recurring..
My suggestion would be to stop the intake of antibiotic after consultation with the Paediatrician and the antibiotic should be replaced with other antibiotic.. The medications can be continued together as they does not seems to cause any negative drug interactions..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
