General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

I have gone through your query.

Based on what you have described, it sounds like you may have social anxiety disorder. This may just be a personality trait and not a disorder. There are 2 next steps

One would be to get a diagnosis. This would involve seeing a psychiatrist. This can help one to confirm the cause. Usually, this would need an interview and would need a mental state examination.

Once the diagnosis is established, the best next step is to get counseling or psychology to help with overcoming the problem. Many people also find cognitive behavior therapy useful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
