Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had issues in the past with anxiety. Recently I have experienced dizziness and sometimes shaking. Went to the emergency room and they said my red blood cells were high which can cause dizziness I also had a glucose check that came out to 148. He prescribed me xanax. After taking it I felt better the dizziness went away. Got a follow up and was told that my ALT was high at 56. I was referred to a blood doctor and need to follow up on my liver. Can all this be related to stress or do I have a need for concern here.. Not knowing only stresses me out more!!!!
Hello ALT 56 is not worrisome and i think you should not worry about this. Even blood sugar levels are also not worrisome. Go for a repeat blood count to recheck RBC levels again.
Anyhow, ativan is liver safe anti-anxiety drug when compared to xanax. Discuss about this with your doctor.
Thanks.
