Suggest Remedy For Asthma When On Metoprolol
Not responding well to latest BP medication- we are running out of options. But need to get off this Hydralazine, what I just got on instead of metoprolol which Was supposed to be less bad for my asthma than the atenolol I had been on for some time. Asthma so bad on Metoprolol that I spent the past 6 months on and off of Prednisone.... While on the Metoprolol rescue Inhailers don t rescue. Calcium channel blockers causes tachycardia, lisinaptil causes anaphylaxis and beta blockers which I stopped recently exacerbate my asthma. Are there any other options?

Analyzing your problem of having different side effects with the drugs, you described, in my opinion you may try following and select the best suited to you for resolving the problem of starting the anti hypertensive drug.
- Cardioselective beta blocker known to induce almost nil asthmatic symptoms. You may try NABEVELOL out of this group.
- ARB (Angitensin 2 receptor blocker group) known to cause no symptom of asthma or tachycardia. Out of this group you may try Telmesartan or Olmesartan.
