Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Remedy For Back Pain That Radiates To Shoulders
I am having pain that starts in my back, goes up into shoulders, neck, then ears. It also spreads across my chest. Shoulder blades hurt. I have had this off and on for a few years now. Should I be concerned? I am a 51yr old female with a history of several auto-immune conditions.
hello, i can understand your concerns. i would like to know the auto immune disorder you have and the medications you have been using for the same. this can be due to an effect of the medications you might be using or the autoimmune disorder itself can also lead to the pain. an mri of the spine is advised to look for any nerve compressions which could lead to the symptoms mentioned. meanwhile i would suggest you can use over the counter pain medications temporarily. a diclofenac patch would also be helpful. hot fomentation over the affected area will also provide soothing relief to you. do get back to us with the information sought by me for further management. feel free to ask further queries. wish you a speedy recovery. thanks for choosing HCM
