Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a 17 yr old daughter who Is still wetting bed nightly and has been to urologist years ago. No physical bladder deformities shown on ultrasound. Frequent urgent need to urinate....and or need to urinate frequently. Many medications / nasal drops tried but discontinued. Is 17 way past normal age for this?
Yes 17 does seem like an age she should have overcome this issue by. I would like to discuss emotional issues (consult psychiatrist), neurogenic bladder, and also recommend a few exercises like Kegel's to help strengthen the pelvic muscles and give her better control over them.
Best wishes.
