Suggest Remedy For Bleeding From Ear Post Usage Of Wax Removal Drops

My 77yo father put some ear wax removal drops in his ear prior to having me clean it out. I used a q tip and pulled out lots of bright orange wax. He said his ear was feeling stopped up so we did not use the oily drops in the other ear but softened the cotton swab with peroxide. The 2nd ear had that same wax and then a spot of bright red blood. We stopped. He tried flushing thef first ear with warm water and then touched a q tip inside and lots of bright red blood. He put a towel inside the outer ear trying to dry out the water and lots of bright red blood. Bleeding reportedly has now stopped. Is he ok? What to do next? Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

An ENT doctor should be visited. Wax should be removed by a physician if not you may injure vital parts. If blood stops and there are no complaints, even then check up is essential. Six weeks is needed to heal. You may require antibiotics drops.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
