Suggest Remedy For Blisters On Scalp While On Propofol
I ave had propofol 3 times and have had the same reaction each time. I get blisters on my scalp which break open and become weeping sores, then my hair falls out. I also experience extreme drowsiness for weeks. How do I get my air to grow back in and get over the drowsiness
Cannot say in your particular case. Two possibilities are allergy to the pill or psychologically picking at the scalp. The drowsiness from this short acting medicine really should not last for weeks, but infection of the scalp can cause drowsiness and would require at least antibiotics if not surgical drainage. If there is much skin scarring, hair wouldn't have a place to grow around the scar. So, stopping a medicine is the first step of getting over its side effects. There can be withdrawal with this drug if it is used continuously that can include nervous picking of the scalp. Then, drowsiness and side effects from a short acting drug should stop in hours to days. If they continue past that there is something other than the drug withdrawal occurring that will require a physician to see and fix it. If there is scarring, then hair regrowth is going to be quite a problem
