Hello there, I understand that you have been recently detected diabetic. However I did not understand whether they gave you any medicines for diabetes or not to take at home. If you have been asked to take any medicines for diabetes then it would be ok to wait for a week before blood checks. But you feeling dizzy could also mean that your blood sugars are going low. So you can do one thing, get a Glucometer at home. Check your blood sugars when you feel dizzy. If sugars are less than 70 then it means that dizziness is because of low sugars and you need to take some sweet to increase your blood sugars. Also if you are on any medicines then doses need to be reduced. If sugars are more than 90 then your symptoms are due to some other reason for which you need to be examined and then decide the treatment. So first get a glucometer and confirm that your sugars are normal. Later meet your physician and discuss the reason for your dizziness. Hope this helps. Take care.
