Suggest Remedy For Breast Pain And Nipple Tenderness
I took plan b may 2nd, got a period 1 week later, had unprotected sex may 31st but he did not ejaculate inside of me, but did so near my vagina. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests, all negative, most recent neg test was June 14, to double check to see if I was having breast pain and nipple tenderness due to plan b being ineffective as I found out after taking the pill I am over the weight limit for it to be effective. I also have pcos. Is my breast pain causes by plan b even after all of these times? Or is it a pregnancy symptom?
Such symptoms can be caused or triggered by progesterone effects in hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis and its interference with prolactin inhibition by the hypothalamus. Sometimes, such symptoms are signs of early pregnancy. If you miss the periods you should get pregnancy tests done and it managed by a gynecologist. However, it can also be indicative of breast cyst, abscess, tumor or cancer, etc. Get clinically examined, get all necessary blood tests, urinalysis & imaging tests done at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
