Suggest Remedy For Bruised And Swollen Knuckle With Painful Red Patch

I punched the wall earlier in temper and my knuckle instantly came up with a small bruise around the knuckle next to my little finger and swelled up, it hurts to touch but I can bend it, it just hurts slightly, mainly when touching it the pain is a lot worse, the area is now blue bruise and red patch and all swollen is it likely to be just bruised or maybe fractured or broken?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your query bruising and redness along with swelling is due to trauma to the fingers causing injury to the soft tissues leading to rupture of minute blood vessels leading to bruising and inflammation causing swelling..
In case if you are able to move the fingers freely with no restricted movement and there is only slight pain during movement then there is a possibility that the pain is due to inflammation of soft tissues only and not bony fracture but you can get it confirmed by getting an x ray done..
If there is no fracture then only alternate warm and cool compresses, applying heparin containing gel and taking Ibuprofen will relieve..
In case if there is a fracture then reduction of fracture are immobilization will help..
