Suggest Remedy For Bruised Back Muscles Due To Fall, Muscle Spasm Which Does Not Subside With Advil And Ice Packs

Four days ago I slipped on my wooden stairs and went down about five of them before landing on the lower left side of my back. I did see a doctor within two hours of this incident he said bruised back muscles and to take it easy for a few days maybe a week. Use ice packs and take advil. My problem is the pain doesn't seem to be subsiding and now I'm having muscle spasms when I try to sleep very painful. Any suggestions?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The persistent muscle spasm that you have needs oral muscle relaxants and pain killers with a regular hot fomentation for relief. Do consult an orthopedician for proper prescriptions.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
