Suggest Remedy For Bruising In The Lower Abdominal Area

I had a colonoscopy 6 days ago. I see bruising in the lower abdominal area and I feel bloated and very sore. Is this normal. Doc told me I had a lot of scar tissue on the right side of my colon. I have been told I have a lot of adhesions and scar tissue in lower abdomen as well

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In cases with several scar tissue, it is normal to experience your actual symptoms. In such cases we recommend rest and observe the symptoms in following days. However, I want to rule out possible bleeding, so better get another consultation with the doctor who performed colonoscopy to check it out. Discuss this further with your caring doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
