Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 3 year old hit her head on the corner of the kitchen counter a few days ago. She cried right after and I noticed a bump, but there is also a dent on her head where she hit it. She s been acting normal and haven t had any symptoms. Although, I am still worried. Should I take her to the doctor?
If she is active and alert, no increased drowsiness, no irritability,no seizures, no vomiting or complaints of headache then she may not need to be assessed.
If one or more of these are present then she should be seen.
If you are not comfortable, then she should be assessed as well.
I hope this helps
