hi. Iam 25 old girl. I have got a bump near the right ear first and i used ampicciline for 3 days 1 daily. It was hard before but after using this tablets it became soft and started reduction in size. After 2 days Same bulging started on my left ear so I went to doctor and he gave ofloxacine and ornidazole combinationwith rabeprazole sodium tablets. As suggested by him I used them twice daily for 5 days. my bump which stated late on my left ear did not reduce in size but become little bulged and soft. but right ear bump was almost redused. But 6th day I saw a white thick layer on my tounge which I cleaned and it reduced but i could see my foot little swelling and there is a pain under by foot. Can I stop the medication or do I need to continue it.

Hello,

Your initial problem is bump on the ear and now you are experiencing pain on the foot with swelling after taking the medicines prescribed by your treating doctor. Since you are having discomfort in the legs you can stop the medicine and keep your doctor informed.

Pain in the foot is due to swelling that may be a side effect of Oflaxacine. Give rest to your foot and keep it elevated on a stool when sitting. Take acetaminophen, one SOS to ease foot pain. You can wait for a couple of days, if your left ear bump does not reduce in size you can take a repeat course of ampicillin as it suits you better for 3 or 5 days. It should get better.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
