Suggest Remedy For Burning And Frequent Urination Due To Problem In Urethra

My main problem is my urethra. I have had 3 dilations, a cystoscopy and a more invasive dilation with cutting the urethra - folding it back and stitching it. It s called some sort of cystoscopy but I can t remember. I have constant burning. It started out when I urinated. The burning was after, not during. The burning is always there after all the above procedures. I have some pressure and VERY frequent urination which the MD wasn t concerned about. I have done antibiotics, Urabel, Aleve, even monistat which I used and treated myself as if I had a yeast infection, to rule out the vagina as I know is extremely close to the urethra. This has been going on since November, 2014. Needless to say I am trying to find a more detailed specialist as my urologist moves very slowly and not getting good results. I truly need help and suggestions as to what to do now.

Hi,

The burning and frequency you have seems to be due to residual urine in bladder all the time, this leads to a complication, a bladder infection causing burning and pain. All of this is due to stricture of urethra, making incomplete voiding of urine. Hence, the key point in treatment would be getting rid of this stricture.

You had practically tried all the ways available except for surgical option. I would suggest to consult a urosurgeon and set the urethral problem off. The surgery along with antibiotic course (after culture and sensitivity test ) to take care of infection in bladder. Thus with selection of proper doctor and following methodical approach under his guidance would definitely help you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
