Suggest Remedy For Burning Diarrhea With Extreme Gas Problem

So I ve gone to the toilet about 7 times today, and what comes out is just liquid diarrhea. I believe it s probably because I drank a big milkshake today, but I don t have any history of lactose intolerance. I get a lot of gas, and I usually go every 30 min now. It burns too.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
Severe diarrhea (more than 5 to 7 times a day) could be infective (virus, bacteria, parasite) or milk indigestion or lactose intolerance.

You may go for routine blood count, electrolytes and stool examination with ultrasound abdomen (if diarrhoea causes cramps).

Treatment is mainly depend on the underlying cause but you may require antibiotics(ofloxacin with metronidazole) if infective, prebiotics and probiotics, antispasmodics, antacids, antiinflammatories etc.

Meanwhile, you should take soft and only liquid diet for initial 2 to 3 days.

You consult your local doctor or physician for further advise.

Regards,
