Suggest Remedy For Burning Sensation After Working Out In Sun

My cousin drunk beer almost everyday for 30 or so years. Recently he went to hospital and was given fluids and later released. The doctor said he was dehydrated and had a heat related illness from working in the sun. Yesterday he said it felt like his insides are burning. Were a little lost at this point. What to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The symptoms described by you suggest that your cousin have electrolytes dis-balance. In this case, I suggest taking oral rehydrate solution with plenty of drinking water. I also suggest avoiding sunlight and alcohol intake. I recommend regular exercise and minimum of 6 hours of sleep.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arup Majumdar, General & Family Physician
