Suggest Remedy For Burning Sensation In Eye Post Usage Of Cleanser
I washed my face with an anti-aging cleanser that contained salicylic acid and my eye burned badly. I immediately washed it out with cold water but it continued to burn for about 5-7 minutes. I am currently using over the counter eye drops (systane) but the eye feels raw and the eye drops sting a little when I put them in. I am using the eye drops every 1/2 hour to clean it out?

Thank you for following up. You have chemical inflammation. I suggest-
1.Wash your eyes with tea.
2.You can use lubricating eye drops (Tears plus) 1 drop 3 times in both eyes.
3.Please drop antibiotic(Ciprofloxacin)1 drop 6 times first two days,then 1 drop 4 time for 3 days yet for neutralization of salicylic acid( antibiotic has alkaline reaction).
Don't worry, you will get better.
