Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain if you had burning sensation in throat caused due to
esophagitis it can be due to acid reflux.
Chemical injury to the lining of mucosa of the food pipe or esophagus leads to inflammation and cause burning sensation and is known as Esophagitis.
As Nexium [esomeprazole] is not working you should
consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and if required he/she can also advise you to get an endoscopy done..
As nexium is not working he can advise you to take other Proton pump inhibitors like
Pantoprazole,
Rabeprazole etc.
Antacids like
Milk of magnesia has to be taken before meals..
Drink plenty of cool water.
Avoid hot, spicy and heavy meals..
Take small portions of food every 2 to 3 hours.
Take short walk after meals.
At night take your dinner atleast 2 hours before sleeping..
While sleeping keep your head slightly raised as compared to feet and if you sleep laterally prefer left lateral position..
If you are overweight try loosing some weight..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
