Hi Doctor, I had a fall from stair on Monday night. went to have x ray done on Tuesday. doctor at that time said bone is fine. just the sprained my ankle. not much pain now. but leg is swollen and bruise. I use ice pad 5 times a day for 20 min. i can walk within the house without the crane. Today doctor called me, said the xray show 2 mild bone chip. he said no need surgery , will heal by itself. My question is: what do you recommend me? to rest my foot most of the time with foot place up with pillow? i have a wedding to attend in 2 days, can i attend it? how much I can walk daily slowly? please help. thank you in advance

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You can walk slowly but do not stress yourself. Listen to your body's signals. If something looks difficult to do then don't do it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. H. Kay, General & Family Physician
