Suggest Remedy For Chipped Wisdom Tooth During Pregnancy
I think I chipped my top wisdom tooth as it is now in a tiny spike which keeps catching on side of my tongue which is hurting. I also now have a sore throat. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and on high risk as I am being treated for a blood clot in my leg and currently taking daily injections of blood thinners (tinzaparin / heparin) I can't have x ray's or teeth out due to the pregnancy and blood thinning injections. Is there anything else I can do?
As per your complain firstly I would like to inform you that as you are already having medical issues and you are on blood thinners you should be highly cautious and any dental treatment or medication can be harmful for you as well as the foetus and should not be taken without the recommendation of your gynaecologist..
In case you have a chipped tooth leading to formation of pointed edges of the tooth you can just get smoothening of the surface of tooth done so that you do not get the tongue injured as it can also cause bleeding which can be harmful and prolong as you do are on blood thinners..

Try and maintain a good oral hygiene.. In case of sore throat you can do warm saline gargles.. In case if there is any requirement of antibiotics and painkillers consult your gynaecologist before taking any.. Postpone all dental treatment till you deliver the baby.. Hope your query is solved..
