Suggest Remedy For Chronic Back Pain With History Of Back Surgery

I have chronic back pain can a doctor prescribe me hydraco 5/325 and gabapentin to help my pain. I have a prescription for tramadol 50mg but its hardly strong enough even if I take 2 it helps but not quite enough to help a lot ? I had back surgery 6 years ago and the nerve pain is pretty bad again. My back surgeon says its not bad enough to have surgery again but its so bad I walk with a limp and use a walker at times.

Hi,

Drugs and physiotherapy should always be used before any surgery for a backache. Best results are there with physiotherapy along with painkillers. If these are not working for you, you can add more effective drugs like gabapentin for the pain and help of a physiotherapist. Your doctor is very right surgery should be the very last resort.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
