Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Respected Sir....my 1 nhalf years daughter suffering from loose motion.with fever....though fever has been subsided...but loose motion is still persisting...Dr has suggested for racigyl-sb and cfpodoxime proxitil oral suspension....but there is no improvement....loose motion occurs almost 9-10times ...wWith greenish colour at leastfor 4-5 times and in watery state....can I give her enterogerrmina along with the above medicines.
The green color occurs because the stool is passing out so quickly, the bile in the stool does not have the chance to change the stool brown.
If the diarrhea has recently started over the past few days then infection is the most likely cause. Preventing dehydration is the most important treatment. She would need to get back fluid to replace all that she is losing.
Children can become dehydrated very easily.
Pediatric rehydration fluids such as pedialyte would be best.
Enterogermina may help to slow down the diarrhea and would not affect the other medications.
A stool sample to the lab should also be done.
I hope this helps
