Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have chronic headaches. Most of the time they are bearable but occasionally they get out of hand. I frequently have what feels like liquid moving inside my head. Always on the right side Just above my head. It happens suddenly. Also when my headache is bad my head feels like I have rubbed it with Ben Gay or something similar. Any thoughts on what might be the cause?
Headache is a very vast subject as there are so many reasons for it that the list is endless, yet to mention the commonest reasons with the history that you have mentioned: - Hypertension. - Vascular. - Tumour - Increased intra-cranial pressure. - Psychological, stress and anxiety. - Sinusitis. Hence I Would advise you the following: - Consult your Physician for general check up, counselling as for any psychological factors, neurological assessment, get investigated to get preliminary investigations and get started on primary treatment. - Get a second opinion of an ENT Surgeon or Neurologist as the case would be. -The specific treatment would be as per the cause found.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
