Suggest Remedy For Chronic Mononucleosis

I have been diagnosed with chronic mononucleosis and I am currently suffering from a reactivation phase. I was diagnosed when I was 40 and am 49 now, and have at least one reactivation a year. My symptoms are severe tho time and would like to know if there are treatments other than prednisone which my doctor prescribed when the virus is reactivated.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

As you explain the situation in my knowledge there is no treatment which is directed to mononucleosis. We treat the symptoms such as painkillers for fever and muscles pain. I don't think you need other treatment. Just follow your doctor's advice.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
