Hello and welcome to HCM,
Bulging of cervical disc and indentation of thecal sac is responsible for the pain in back, shoulders and arms.
The indentation of thecal sac is causing compression of cervical nerves and hence pain in the region of distribution of cervical nerves.
For pain releif, it is important to relieve the indentation and compression of thecal sac.
Immobilization of the cervical spine with a cervical collar will help.
Physiotherapy and pain killers will also relieve the pain.
Thus, it is suggested to consult your orthopedician for for cervical collar in addition to pain killers and physiotherapy.

Thanks and take care
