Suggest Remedy For Chronic Pain Due To Redundant Colon

Redundant colon. What are the treatments available that you know of. My daughter has had 20 years of hell with this colon and outside of surgery to cut out most of it, she has had nothing but pain everyday when it decides to move an inch or empty out.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the amount of severe agonising pain from previous colon removal surgery do indicate possible adhesions during post operative period. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I do recommend a diagnostic laparoscopy with or without adhesionolysis procedure as per the surgical need. If any of the radiology data are available on hand, kindly share as PDF or other attachment format for further discussion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
