Suggest Remedy For Chronic Sinusitis

Hi, I am having a problem of a foul smell coming from my nasal passage, mouth. It smells like body waste. My ENT is treating me for a chronic sinusitis, he hasn't taking any pictures or studies, but says he wants me to be on antibiotics for 30 days before he will order a CT. What should I do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain foul odour from nose and mouth can be most probably due to Sinusitis but to confirm the cause a PNS view x ray or MRI scan of sinuses can help in making a final diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
I would suggest you that taking antibiotics without proper diagnosis is not appropriate and you can consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can advise you investigations like Nasal endoscopy, MRI scan or PNS view of sinuses and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to take antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, decongestant Oral as well as nasal spray, do steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
As for now you can do steam inhalation with a few drops of Eucalyptus oil in boiling water..
