Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I suffer from cold and my family physician says its due to alergy. I am convinced its alergic and its been since childhood. Now I am 32, healthy otherwise. Every three/four months, some infection aggrevates due which there's lot of congestion and dry cold leading to thick yellow snout/sputum, sometimes with bleeding. Have been taking Montair LC daily for last 4 months, which has reduced congestion slightly. With stress the cold aggrevates further. Please advise a remedy.
HI Well come to HCM This could be chronic allergic disorders and in my opinion the steroid is worth trying here if it is not being tried yet, and the best option would be Tab Dexamethasone this need to be taken in tapered manner reduce the dose of this every after 3rd day by 10 mg till you reach the last dose of 10 mg once in day, diabetes need to be ruled out before initiating this treatment, not advisable in diabetes, hope this helps.
