My 27 year old daughter with Angleman Syndrome (non-verbal) is always constipated and needs to suppositories to go to bathroom. Last week Thursday and last night she had copious amounts of loose stool after I gave her a suppository. She had loose stool the days after (last Friday and today) also but was fine the days between. There are many reasons anxiety is one of cause of constipation in Angelman syndrome, you have to also make bathroom routine, yes laxative can be given in severity in this syndrome. Give proper diet (fruits, veggies, fiber containing food etc., are helpful). Few medicines used in this syndrome also causes this.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
