Suggest Remedy For Constipation Post Closed Fracture Of Lumbar Vertebrae

My mom has closed fracture of second lumbar vertebrae, I am worried be use she has not moved her bowels for 3 days now. She is taking norco every 6 hours for pain. She is taking colace 2x a day, drinking lots of fluids and ambulated at least every 2 hours but to no effect. What is the best thing to do to help her move her bowels?

Hi, the hydrocodone has a side effects on the bowel like constipation and dry mouth,even when is taken in smalll doses and unfortunately is the main cause of gastrointestinal problems.Besides immobility caused by spinal injured it causes the intestine to stop.
There is a medication named CONTUMAX (macrogol) 3350/17g. and yoi can take it twice a day, plus prokinetik drugs, water, and a lower dosificación of hydrocodone.
