Hi i have been coughing up mucus in the morning and thru out the day but when its thru out the day its clear in the mornin after i wake up its yellow and just a few minutes ago i cough and it was a rumble on my lower back and some chest conjestion what advice could you give me ?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Chest congestion, rumblings in lower chest, coughing, mucus expectoration etc are suggestive of lung infection like pneumonia. So better to get done chest x ray first. You may need antibiotics. If chest x ray is normal then no need to worry for pneumonia. Drink plenty of fluids orally. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day. Take levocetrizine for cough. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
